Model what a link earns from clicks, CVR, and commission.
How many people clicked your tracked link?
Percentage of clicks that result in a sale, signup, or other commissionable conversion.
Your commission is calculated from the average order value below.
Starts from clicks you already have, not views. Switch commission type to match how your program actually pays - percent of order value (Amazon Associates, e-commerce) or a flat dollar amount per conversion (SaaS, lead-gen). General estimate, not real GoloLink data.
Projected revenue is a model. Real click data by video is how you improve it.
Your click count multiplied by conversion rate. 10,000 clicks at a 4% conversion rate is 400 conversions.
For percent-of-order-value programs, each conversion is worth your commission percentage of the average order value - 400 conversions at a $50 average order and 5% commission is $1,000. For flat-$ programs, each conversion is just worth a fixed dollar amount regardless of order size - 400 conversions at a flat $15 bounty is $6,000, no matter what the buyer's cart total was.
Already know your exact sale count instead of a conversion rate? Use the affiliate commission calculator instead.
Percentage-based models are common in e-commerce and product affiliate programs (like Amazon Associates); flat payouts are common in SaaS, lead generation, and some referral programs - though not every program in a category works the same way, so check your own program's rate card.
| Commission model | How it works | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Percentage | You earn a percentage of the order value | $100 order × 5% = $5 |
| Flat rate | You earn a fixed amount per conversion | $15 per signup |
It depends entirely on your conversion rate and commission - there's no fixed answer. Example: at a 4% conversion rate, $50 average order value, and 5% commission, each conversion is worth $2.50 ($50 × 5%), and each click is worth about $0.10 on average (4% × $2.50). To reach $1,000, that's roughly 400 conversions, or about 10,000 clicks at that conversion rate - which is exactly what the calculator's default numbers above show. Use the calculator's "want to earn a target amount" toggle with your own numbers instead of this example.
For creators, revenue runs through a longer funnel than just clicks: views → link clicks → conversion rate → conversions → commission → revenue. A large view count doesn't automatically mean large affiliate revenue - what matters is how many viewers click, how many of those clicks convert, and what each conversion is worth. Views are not the same as clicks, and clicks are not the same as revenue.
100,000 views → 2.5% outbound CTR → 2,500 link clicks → 4% conversion rate → 100 conversions → $50 average order → 5% commission = $250 estimated revenue. Illustrative example, not real GoloLink customer data.
