Setting a default domain
Where your short links are shown and copied - set automatically when your first domain goes live.
Your default domain is where GoloLink shows and copies your short links. When your first custom domain finishes verifying, it becomes the default automatically - you'll see a toast with an Undo button if you'd rather keep golo.to.
Nothing about your links changes when the default changes:
- Every short link already works on your domain.
golo.to/abcalso answers atlinks.yourbrand.com/abc- there's nothing to recreate. - Links you've already shared keep working. The
golo.toURLs in your YouTube descriptions, bios and posts never stop working. - New links work in both places too. They're shown on your default domain and still answer on
golo.to.
To switch, open Settings → Domains and use Show my links on … on a live domain, or Show golo.to instead on the current default. If your default domain stops working (its DNS changes), GoloLink shows golo.to until you fix it.
